With "Metamorphosis", Lara Swiontek has drawn a comic adaptation of Mary Shelley's novella. The graphic novel was created as a diploma thesis, supervised by Prof. Gunda Förster and Vertr.-Prof. Sophia Martineck. Lara Swiontek transposed the story, which is set in the 14th century, to the present day and created an impressive transposition of the text into an opulent visual language for it.
The graphic novel was awarded the Hans Meid Promotion Prize 2021 and is published by Avant Verlag in January 2022.
